Siberian ginseng, also known as eleutherococcus senticosus, is a plant of the eleutherococcus genus that naturally occurs in Siberia and northeastern China. It is a raw material that contains many valuable bioactive compounds - phytosterols, coumarins and essential oils can be found in the plant, but the main active substance present in Siberian ginseng are eleutherosides, i.e. organic substances responsible for most of the plant's properties.
Interestingly, Siberian ginseng root can be used, among other things, as an ingredient in dietary supplements after just one year of its cultivation, unlike panax ginseng, which needs 5 to 9 years.
